Plumbing Services – The 4 Things Plumbing Companies Won’t Tell You About

If you’re like most people, you need one of those plumbing companies to come in and fix your pipes every now and again.

Obviously, since they’re getting paid to help you out, there are going to be things they won’t tell you about which could potentially save you headaches and frustration, but at the same time, if you consider them carefully, you’ll end up not needing plumbing jobs done very often.

That’s not what they want.

So, what will they not tell you?

I’ll let you know about that in this article, so let’s get down to business.

1. Don’t dry your clothes on your pipes.

I am sure you’ve done this before or you’ve seen someone do it. The pipes found in your basement are often warmer than the environment, so it’s nice to hang up wet clothes over them to dry. If you do that, though, you’ll run a risk of flooding your basement and needing one of the plumbing companies to come in and fix your Sammamish plumbers pipes for you.

This might cost you a few hundred, or even a few thousand dollars, so…

…just use a dryer or drip dry your laundry some place safe.

2. Turn off the outside faucets and disconnect the hoses in the winter.

I am sure you realize that if you don’t do this, the faucets and hoses are going to freeze, causing you to have to get them repaired or replaced, which will be relatively expensive.

3. Don’t be afraid to pay more.

Often, when you need something repaired, you’ll want to save a little money and go for the cheapest plumber in the neighborhood. While that’s something you have a full right to do, it’s definitely not something I’d recommend.

See, it’s much better to find one of those plumbing companies that might charge a little more, but that’ll give you guarantee on what they’re doing. This way you’ll avoid having to call back and pay additional charges. This might not seem very important at the moment, because you naturally assume that all plumbers are professionals and they’ll do a good job, but that really isn’t always the case.

Better safe than sorry.

4. Water Leaks are expensive.

Did you know that a toilet that’s running all the time will pretty much waste up to two hundred gallons of water every single day?

A tiny drip from your faucet will waste 8 gallons a day. That might not seem like a lot,but multiply that by 30 and you have a huge amount of water going down the drain every month. Even if you’re not really concerned about the water itself being wasted, maybe it’s a good idea to think about your wallet. I mean, you won’t be using that water, but you will be paying for it when the bill comes and, unless you’re very rich, you’ll feel it. Just hire one of the plumbing companies in the neighborhood and you’ll not have that problem.
